The rhythm of the school year is in full swing at STARS Charter School, and the excitement in the air is absolutely contagious. From the sound of music echoing through rehearsal spaces to the energy of students practicing their choreography and lines, our campus has become a hub of creativity, teamwork, and passion.
Our incredible students have been rehearsing for weeks and weeks, balancing academics with artistic expression—all in preparation for a season of spectacular performances that will showcase not only their talent, but also their discipline, determination, and heart.
At STARS, performing arts are more than extracurricular—they are an integral part of our mission to help students discover and develop their gifts. Whether it’s on stage, in the wings, or behind the scenes, every student plays a vital role in bringing these productions to life.
🎭 Honk Jr. — A Heartwarming Musical Adventure
This November, audiences are in for a treat as our young actors bring Honk Jr. to the stage—a delightful retelling of The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen.
This uplifting musical celebrates themes of acceptance, belonging, and the courage to be yourself, all wrapped in catchy songs, vibrant costumes, and heartfelt performances.

📅 November 5–6, 2025 — featuring Casts A through D
For many of our students, this will be their first experience performing for a live audience, and the pride they feel is already shining through every rehearsal. Parents, families, and community members are invited to come out and support our young performers as they spread their wings—literally and figuratively—on stage.
💃 Holiday Dance Show — A Celebration of Movement and Joy
As the holiday season approaches, the stage lights will glow again for our Holiday Dance Show, featuring students in grades 3–8. This annual tradition is one of our most anticipated events of the year, uniting our community through the language of dance.
Over the past month, students have been rehearsing a variety of routines—from classical ballet and contemporary jazz to modern, hip-hop, and lyrical dance pieces. Each performance captures the joy, energy, and spirit of the holidays, promising an unforgettable evening for families and friends alike.

🌟 Kindergarten Holiday Program — Where the Magic Begins
The season concludes with the Kindergarten Holiday Program, a heartwarming showcase featuring our youngest STARS. These bright, enthusiastic performers have been practicing their songs and motions with dedication and pure joy.
